A LITTLE INTRODUCTION

Join us, in collaboration with Nile Sport Safari from Uganda, for an extraordinary training experience at over 2000 meters above sea level in Barawa, running the same routes as Uganda’s elite endurance runners and World champions.

Our adventure includes day-long trips to the hills of Mount Elgon and the Northern region, exploring the slopes of Mounts Kadam and Moroto. You’ll cross rivers, pass waterfalls, venture into rural villages, and marvel at the wildlife and subalpine landscapes of Uganda’s most peaceful countryside.

Every second day, you’ll immerse yourself in different areas, encountering various tribes and cultures such as the Sebei, Karamojongs, Tepeth, and Dodoth. This unique blend of ethnography and sport offers an enriching and unforgettable experience.

Running through the stunning Mount Elgon region is magical. You’ll see towns, valleys, rivers, cliffs, and waterfalls along your route. However, this is not a run to underestimate! The altitude and terrain will challenge you with plenty of ups and downs. Pace yourself to ensure you can enjoy every moment of this incredible journey.

The mountain’s highest point, named “Wagagai”, is located entirely within Uganda. Although there is no verifiable evidence of its earliest volcanic activity, geologists estimate that Mount Elgon is at least 24 million years old, making it the oldest extinct volcano in East Africa.

Spectacular scenery is the main attraction for hikers on this often neglected undemanding mountain, but there is also a variety of forest monkeys and small antelope, along with elephant and buffalo.
